What impact did the Magna Carta have on the English monarchy?

It limited the amount of power the King had by creating parliament and stating that Monarchy was not above the law

The answer is: it limited it

The most important aspect of magna Carta is by making the monarchies to be  subjected to the same law as the citizens. Before magna Carta, the monarchies can even ordered civilians to be executed without any trial. After the Magna Carta, the monarchies'  power became extremely limited since they can be punishable by law if proven to abuse their power.
