Before I answer the question, I believe it is important to note that I considered the sign prior to 5,700 as a dollar sign. Then, to determine the registration fee that is to be paid for the car, we multiply the decimal equivalent of the given percentage to the sale price giving us,
                    registration fee = ($5,700)(0.008) = $45.6
Thus, the registration fee costs $45.6.
