2(x-3)-17=18-13(x+2)

First let's distribute.
2(x-3) = 2x -6.
-13(x+2) = -13x -26
Now that we've done that, combine like-terms.
(-6) -17= -23.
18-26 = -8.
Add 13x to both sides.
2x + 13x = 15x.
15x - 17 = -8.
Add 17 to both sides.
15x = 9.
Divide both sides by 15.
x = 0.6
