[tex] \frac{1}{3}(-6x + 12) - 4x = 32 - \frac{1}{2}(8x - 16) [/tex]
distribute and simplify 1/3
distribute and simplify 1/2
[tex]-2x + 4 - 4x = 32 - 4x + 8 ==\ \textgreater \ -6x + 4 = 40 - 4x[/tex]
[tex]-2x = 36 [/tex]
x = -18
